Brad at the Bangkok Airways Open in Koh Samui 11/06/2007

Koh Samui is one of the hottest places in Asia to play golf.

Brad shot a 3 over par 74 on Thursday still adjusting to the heat and sat in 54th place in side the cut line which was 65 and ties.

Friday Brad shot a 2 under 69 jumping up to 30th place.

Brad shot a 1 over par 72 on Saturday after a delayed start with Friday afternoon’s play being called off needing to be finished on Saturday morning.

Brad moved up one spot to 29th. The highlight of the day was a course record 9 under 62 from Lee Sung from Korea, We have got to know Lee a little over the last year. Lee was born deaf, but has proven to have a great game and went on to win his first event on the Asian Tour.

Brad had a great final round with a 4 under 67 and finished in 18th place and moved up under two spots on the order of merit to 76th place.

The goal for the Asian Tour is to be inside the top 60 at the end of the year provided a full card for the 2008 season.

Other Kiwis

Stephen Scahill finished in 33rd spot after a 6 under 65 in the last round

Mark Brown finished in 53rd spot.

Brad’s next event on the Asian Tour is after the winter break in mid August at the IRDA Johor Classic in Malaysia.
